Build Your Career in the Skilled Trades — Apply for the Spring 2026 Trades Orientation Program (TOP)!
Start your path to a high-demand, high-wage construction career with the free Santa Clara County Trades Orientation Program. This one-year program includes a 130-hour introductory course, industry-recognized certifications, hands-on training, and direct connections to local apprenticeship programs.
If you’re 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, and are ready to learn, this program can prepare you for careers in carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, sheet metal, roofing, and 30+ other skilled trades. Childcare financial assistance may be available for those who qualify.
Women are strongly encouraged to apply — join one of our Women in the Trades orientation sessions to learn more about how TOP can support your pathway into the construction trades.

Dec 4 - 8 am to 10 am
Dec 17 - 6 pm to 8 pm
